Confusion

Sat Sep 13, 2008, 6:02 PM
Okay, I've successfully uploaded two mediocre drawings, and now my avatar has disappeared - that's the correct word, avatar? The pic that represents me... as in "I am what I am" (unless of course you're looking at my avatar) then I'm whatever that is. Or - "I am as God made me sir" - but you'll only see my avatar and my art.
Anyway...
I'm new here, can you tell?
I'm not a total techno-tard; I'll figure this thing out, but right now I'm off to my studio to draw more hands.
I wonder if anyone else has a problem with hands. All those bones, all those muscles, and all of the folds of the skin over both - all the differing positions and morphic quality of hands; they're a bitch to accurately sketch in a manner that's not totally pedestrian, but so capable of incredible expression when done properly.
Upstairs now, to my tiny lair of pencils, paper, music and art.

  • Listening to: Elbow - the Seldom Seen Kid
  • Reading: Goodbye Testicles
  • Watching: Fido
  • Playing: my Mosrite Ventures Model '64
  • Eating: whatever's available, really
  • Drinking: not a drop, I swear

You're more than welcome LeAnne ;)
I'd love to use the various emoticons, but I'm such a noob, I don't quite know how they work.

I can help with that :)
When you're in a reply or comment box, over on the bottom right under the mood emoticons, click Emoticons and there is the list of them and their "codes".
Like this one  is : clap: (without the space).

 Thanks LeAnne!

I realize it's obnoxious, but I've got to give them a try.
Imagine my surprise to see not one, but two 'anal-probe' emoticons.
And then of course this one:
:hump:
There's no stopping progress...
